Rest In Peace: Ray Noorda

I learned this evening that Ray Noorda, the founder and genius behind what was Novell passed away today.

Years ago I was a software engineer for a defense contractor who wanted to get out of the defense contracting business. The people that I met and worked with when I pursued Novell's Certified Netware Engineer (CNE) certification taught me much about networking but even more about technology and the Internet. I had the pleasure of meeting and listening to Ray Noorda several times at BrainShare; Novell's annual user conference.

Thank you Ray!
